Houses “Endless Spring”
purdy.
Some photos I shot tonight during a Yours Truly video shoot with Chromeo. The shoot and recording session took place at Different Furs studios in the Mission District of San Francisco, and captured the Quebec-based duo recording never-before-heard acoustic renditions of three tracks from their upcoming album, “Business Casual,” to be released in September 2010. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the focus on musicality on their new album. Paying homage to the “Easy Listening” (their word) moguls from their upbringing, the duo created songs that were capable of being stripped down to the piano/vocals foundation of their songwriting, while keeping the quirky funky-electro flavor that they are so well known for.
The video for this track leaves a great deal to be desired, but the “Relayted” album by Gayngs has been an integral part of my daily soundtrack this past week, and this track, “Cry,” from the album has been my morning serenade….Enjoy, but maybe listen to it with your eyes closed to spare yourself the adverse association with the cheezy video
This video by Louisville, KY’s The Pass, just got passed on to me, and I had to post it. Go ahead…getcher retweetin’ on…

I just cannot get enough of the Local Natives album, and continue to find new corners of inspiration from their music, melodies, lyrics, and today, this video…
Ok, so her live act leaves something to be desired, but homegirl keeps us on our toes, for sure…

This Las Vegas trio just killed it tonight at Milk Bar in SF, opening up for a DJ set by Neon Indian. I actually paid to buy their EP on iTunes because I couldnt find them on the torrents. Check them out.
