Teebs gets the spotlight on this week’s ‘Sunday Inspiration.’ I stopped by High Fidelity Vinyl, the new record shop in Los Feliz Village, for his live performance this afternoon promoting the shop as well as his recent release, Collections 01. He also dropped this track today on Soundcloud that got some repeat plays on my laptop today…
I’ve been in the process of collecting some artwork by local LA artists (such as Kutmah), and am trying to get my hands on some prints of Teebs’ artwork as well. His work summons a mind-meld between Alex Pardee (sans darkness) and Daniel Egneus…two of my favorite artists hailing from completely different levels of inspiration.
I have been deep in the world of video editing for the past month, and as I finally near the end of my first completed piece, I felt the need to resurface and dip back into some other forms of inspiration in order to gain a bit of fresh air and creative perspective after being buried in my own work for so long.
